“Learning with Scarlett was really heartwarming because I felt like I was a total disaster at the beginning. It was really challenging for me to grab the chords and understand the rhythm of music. Scarlett really helped me to go step by step and to feel it. Also having my wife in the program with me is kind of challenging. “I recently graduated from the Musical Activation Experience and AHA School of Sound Source-ry with Scarlett de la Torre. Not only did I think I would never be able to learn to play instruments and sing — I also didn’t imagine I would do this in the middle of recovery from a life-altering accident. When the accident happened, I decided immediately to have it mean something and to use the experience to transform. I didn’t know how exactly, but I knew I had to commit to myself. The accident left me with issues besides my broken face. My left hand wasn’t working, I had post-concussion syndrome and PTSD. “I had always had a dream to play a stringed instrument, sing, and learn music. I had been in a severe car accident where I experienced trauma to the corpus callosum of my brain (the most anterior part of your brain that connects the left and the right hemispheres).
